The hotel operates the following policy in the
event of cancellation of a confirmed booking:
Our cancellation policy is seven days prior to
the date of arrival for any part of a booking, if you feel it is
either likely or possible that you may cancel all or part of a
reservation within seven days of the date of arrival, we suggest
you take out an appropriate insurance policy.
In the event of late cancellation or 'No show'
within seven days of the date of arrival, the hotel charges will
be 75% of the total booking value, charges are only made if the
room or rooms are NOT resold. It is the hotel's policy to charge
in all cases of late cancellation or no show of confirmed bookings.
Mortons House reserves the right to recover in
full the cost, together with any consequential loss, of replacing
and/or repairing any damage, howsoever caused, to the hotel's fabric,
structure, contents and property from those persons (including
guests and visitors) liable for the damage. In the case of damage
and/or consequential loss caused by guests, the person responsible
for payment of the bill will be deemed liable, whether or not that
person is a guest in the hotel.
Smoking
In accordance with changes to the law relating
to smoking, it is now only possible to smoke on the terrace by
the Koi carp pond or in the front courtyard.
Both entrance porches are predominately covered areas and under
the new laws it is illeagal to smoke there, as it is inside any
part of the building.
Pets
The hotel can no longer accept any Dogs, Cats
or indeed any pets (Guide dogs by prior arrangement). We can however offer a dog boarding service, in association with Happy Hounds - click here for details.
Children
We welcome children to Mortons House, indeed,
we have five of our own ! We ask only that they are well behaved
and supervised, in order that they do not affect the ambience for
other guests.
Please note we do not allow children under 5
in the restaurant during dinner, but we offer High Teas to
our younger guests, served in the bar lounge between 5.30 and 6.30
PM, by arrangement.
