Our chefs take their inspiration from the finest offerings
of local producers ~ whether it be local cheeses, home-reared meats,
or the best Dorset meat and seafood ~ all served in an unpretentious
informal environment.
On warm days, enjoy a drink, coffee,
or lunch on the pretty terrace. Sit under a shady umbrella and
enjoy the peace and quiet
with just
the occasional nostalgic sound of a steam train passing by.
It's all about informal dining, featuring grilled
steaks and local seafood, but with a few twists of innovation to
tempt the palate.
It’s the place to catch up with friends, have a mid-week let’s-go-out
meal, or just enjoy a home made Dorset Cream tea either in the Oak
room by the log fire in the cooler months, or on the terrace on sunnier
days. The Restaurant's reputation for fine food and friendly, dedicated
service is fast growing, making it a favourite with residents and
locals alike.
Ed Firth, our Head Chef and Amy Hendes, our
Restaurant Manager have both been with us for 8 years! The Restaurant has held 2AA Rosettes since
2002.
